2017 Box Office Contest - Pick the Top 20 of the Year
Good riddance to 2016. It's time to focus on 2017
THE RULES
Each entrant must choose what they think will be the Box Office Top 20 films of the year, in the correct order. You can only choose films released in the calendar year.
Each entrant also can pick 2 "bench" films. This means that if one or two of the films chosen in their Top 20 gets moved to 2018 or beyond, the bench picks will now be activated. Make sure to order your bench films correctly (i.e. your #1 bench film will be the first picked if one Top 20 choices loses its date)
Winners will be announced by the end of January 2018, to give films that open in late December a fighting chance. The winner will be the person with the most dollars earned by then.
If any two people have the same slate of films, the tie-breaker will be based on the accuracy of order.
The closing date for entries is midnight Thursday January 26th.
Once you post your list you cannot change it, so choose wisely.
If you want to pick a film from January or early February on your list you must submit your list by midnight of the Tuesday before that film opens. For example, if you want to include xXx: The Return of Xander Cage (opens Jan 20th) in your list, then you must submit your list by midnight Jan 17th. This is to avoid anyone using accurate tracking information to gain an advantage.
Good luck!

Re: 2017 Box Office Contest - Pick the Top 20 of the Year
Here's hoping I get this right for once:
1 - Star Wars: Episode 8
2 - Guardians of the Galaxy 2
3 - Beauty and the Beast
4 - Justice League (when will we ever learn)
5 - Thor: Avengers 3.5
6 - Despicable Me 3
7 - Fast and Furious again and again
8 - Spiderman anew
9 - Lego Batman
10 - Wonder Woman
11 - Cars 3
12 - Logan
13 - Kong: Skull Island
14 - Pirates of the Whatever
15 - Transformers: Worst Plot Ever
16 - Coco
17 - The Star
18 - Dunkirk
19 - War of the Planet of the Apes
20 - Baywatch
21 - Boss Baby
22 - Alien: Covenant
After a year of Animation domination, this year is going to be down with most sequels all earning less than their predecessors. Here's hoping for some fresh ideas in 2018

Wow, someone's got balls. Do you know something we dont? I scoured for all Disney films, and none seem like they'll be ready for July.
Re: 2017 Box Office Contest - Pick the Top 20 of the Year
I'm hoping boxofficemojo is right If not, it gets bumped and I get Pitch Perfect 2. I thought it was worth the gamble!
