Re: COLUMN SCHEDULE
Just a reminder - Spidey and Lion King weekends are still open for columnizing.
Does anyone have any suggestions for films to add to the roster for June and July? Preferably something already listed on Box Office Mojo?
I see a few, but I don't know enough about distributors like Ammo Content, Blue Fox Entertainment, Fathom, Greenwich, ArtEffects, or Trafalgar Releasing to know whether they are solid picks with any PTA potential. I tend to shy away from Magnolia films because those get shunted to VOD at virtually the same time as their release, and I know enough about Cohen Media Group to stay away from it.

Re: COLUMN SCHEDULE
Greenwich released Free Solo (near $18 million gross) and have been getting decent runs for their movies lately (The Public opened in 200+ theatres, Wild Nights with Emily got a wide break in Manhattan). I'd say count them in.
Ammo Content is the former Parade Deck. Ignore them.
I don't think Blue Fox reports so ignore them too.
Fathom and Trafalgar do one-night-only shows. Few theatres hold their items for future engagements. Ignore unless a studio or well-off independent (such as Warner Bros. or Funimation) is backing the release.
ArtAffects is Pure Flix with a much lesser budget. Their movies don't make a dime. Ignore.
As for titles to add in, go ahead and add the Mike Wallace documentary even though it's Magnolia. I recall this getting some buzz at Sundance.

Re: COLUMN SCHEDULE
I have added the September films to the first post.
BUT:
Before anyone can claim a spot in September, someone needs to take charge of the logjam that is August 9. Any volunteers?

Re: COLUMN SCHEDULE
I'm happy to switch my week (16th) with August 9th if that makes it more appealing for anyone, but I can't do two packed weekends in a row.

Re: COLUMN SCHEDULE
i would say yes, but we are moving back to texas in two weeks, and i don't even know if we will have internet set up by then.
Re: COLUMN SCHEDULE
I might consider August 9th if I can split it up with another contributor. I'm not really feeling like tackling it all, especially since I'm sure I'll eat crow over Hobbs & Shaw.
