Untitled Movies/Tentpole Movies - EVERYONE VOTE
Okay, let's settle this once and for all.
It would seem that there is a bone of contention regarding whether certain "untitled" movies are eligible to be drafted.
First, we should clearly define what constitutes a "tentpole" movie.
My understanding that is that when a STUDIO puts a bookmark on a certain date on the roster without giving any concrete details as to WTF it actually is, that is a tentpole.
Contrarily, an untitled movie attached to a specific DIRECTOR (like Robert Zemeckis, Tyler Perry, or Jordan Peele, for example), franchise, or concept, is NOT a tentpole and can be drafted, just like the "Untltled Cloverfield Project" was available last year.
Here is what I propose - if a STUDIO has an "untitled" movie on the roster but there's no concrete data available on the film beyond tabloid rumors and Internet scuttlebutt, then it should not be eligible for drafting. If, at some point during the season, the film is given a title, a director, a cast, etc., then it will be added to the Waiver Wire and players can bid on it that way.
Please, everyone, vote. If this solution doesn't work for you? Present a better one. I want to keep this rule simple as possible.
And... go.

Okay... we're making progress. If we determine that the WB Christmas movie is not eligible, shall the players who drafted it be allowed to replace it immediately?

Yes. Untitled Blumhouse 2/14 should not be eligible either.Shrykespeare wrote:Okay... we're making progress. If we determine that the WB Christmas movie is not eligible, shall the players who drafted it be allowed to replace it immediately?
Draft the film you think it's going to be, in my opinion.

I am in complete agreement with this, you can draft specific movies (such as TBA movies or untitled director movies), but not placeholders.
