Bros is somewhat specialized because of the themes and casting choices, even though it looks like a two-hour episode of Will & Grace (which probably makes it a hit). Meanwhile, I don't even think The Silent Twins or Tar will play wide enough for the smaller-market multiplexes and therefore likely wouldn't be shown at that theatre (those will probably get booked by the local independent).

I did get the trailer for The Menu before my showing, which feels like it's been run before every movie lately. That, Don't Worry Darling, or Barbarian have been before everything. Meanwhile, I have not seen one trailer for Black Adam.

As for that Lord of the Rings ad being shown during the trailers, were you at a Regal? Because they've been doing that the past few years.
I was at a Regal.

As for trailers I see a lot, before tonight I believe I saw the one of the trailers for Smile before every R/PG-13-rated movie I have seen since July.

I believe that Tar is expanding wide on October 28th.

I've seen nothing for Smile, except for the ad that mentions it premiering at Fantastic Fest.

Wakanda Forever has been the big one for me over the past month. Vengeance was the last movie I saw that didn't have it attached (I didn't actually see it ahead of Bodies Bodies Bodies, but it did indeed play in front of it). Smile, Bros, Don't Worry Darling and Prey for the Devil are the others I've seen a lot of recently.

I've gotten Wakanda Forever a few times but The Woman King has been shown more often.

The trailers I saw before my print of Barbarian were pretty much the same, except the red-band trailer for Pearl was shown instead of Prey For The Devil.

Also, the trailer for Smile was shortened and featured an ad for an early screening after the trailer.

Weirdly enough, I got that in front of Three Thousand Years of Longing and not Barbarian-although I don't think the regular trailer was shortened in my case.

I got that red band Halloween Ends with The Woman King somehow. Even though red band trailers aren't supposed to be shown before PG-13 titles.

I saw the Wakanda Forever trailer before my print of The Woman King, but not the Amsterdam trailer (although I did see it before See How They Run):

The full list of trailers I saw before The Woman King:

The Menu (Newer trailer)
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Bros (Green-band trailer)
She Said
Black Adam (New trailer)
Smile (Short trailer, without the early screening ad at the end)
I Wanna Dance With Somebody
Devotion (Newer trailer)

And the full list of trailers before See How They Run:

The Inspection
Devotion (Newer trailer)
She Said
Smile (The same trailer I saw before The Woman King, also without the ad)
Amsterdam
The Menu (First trailer)
Empire Of Light
