At my showing of The Whale, there was a 30 minute Brendan Fraser trailer reel in addition to the four trailers shown. I had seen a few director-specific reels in the past but this was the first time I'd seen an entire pre-show be solely trailers featuring a single actor.

That's pretty cool. How often does the Alamo do things like that?

They'll do a specialized pre-show for a big movie or a Drafthouse Recommends title but rarely do a full trailer reel devoted to one person. I remember trailer reels done for Dario Argento (shown with Suspiria before Disney had it taken out of theatrical distribution) and Wes Craven (shown with Scream).
