Michael Kenneth Williams died last night at 54.

Jean-Paul Belmondo also passed away yesterday at 88.

So sad about Michael K Williams. Only 54, and already an icon from The Wire.

Michael K. Williams is such a brutal loss for the business. He was such a reliably powerful presence on screen and after hearing him be interviewed a few times in recent months for the first time ever, I was blown away by his candor and humor. Hopefully history will reflect just how much of an unsung acting icon he was.

Yeah, its sad to know Michael K has passed away, I also first saw him in The Wire and was blindsided by his character. Last time i saw him was in an NBA video game which felt a bit hokey but damn, i always thought, cant wait to see what he's in next. Can't do that now, a massive loss
