To be honest, is anyone expecting Texas Chainsaw Massacre to be good? This is the third remake/reboot of this in less than twenty years and the last two didn't work.

Leatherface needs to die already.

The Northman, The Unbearable Weight Of Massive Talent, and The Worst Person In The World have all piqued my interest, but probably not enough to see them in theatres. And much to my surprise, the 57th Batman movie of my lifetime looks decent enough to check out someday, when I can watch it at home, preferably for free.

That day can come any time after April 19th when the crystal-clear HBO Max copy hits the torrents.

I'm not sure which is worse, encouraging piracy by downloading it or encouraging studios to make more Batman movies by paying for it. I have other means available to me, so I can wait.

As I stated on another thread, I'm passing on this Batman. It looks as if Zack Snyder remade The Dark Knight.

But if you want to keep it legal, I'm sure Warner Bros. will have it on demand sooner.

Slim pickins this season until I get a sense of what's coming to streamers. This is the how it works. Having said that

Seen and liked: The Pink Cloud, The Worst Person in the World, Nitram

Cyrano
Wouldn't normally be my thing but we all love Dinklage and reviews have been solid

A Banquet
I've heard good things about this British horror film.

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent
The Being John Malkovich of Nic Cage.

Turning Red
It's Pixar, even when it's lesser it's worth the punt

Compartment No 6
That's a good number in its title. And the reviews and fest buzz have been warm.

You Won't Be Alone
I know the team selling this movie and they tell me it's great. Also Rapace was incredible in Lamb

The Batman
I does look a little too comic-y for me, but I like the director's work and the cast seems great.

Everything Everywhere All at Once
A Charlie Kaufman fight film? Sign me up

The Northman
Eggers doing a giant Viking epic, featuring Bjork? Yes please.

Finally saw a trailer for The Northman a few days back and to me, it basically looks like if A24 did 300 (and yes, I know this is not an A24 film). No thanks.

Cyrano just looks like typical Joe Wright. And why is Cyrano's nose normal looking this time?

I'm not going to be excited about the movies until Marcel the Shell with Shoes On arrives.
