I think Birdman and Boyhood should be top priority for everybody. I still haven't seen the latter, but I'll make the time. Does anyone know if we have it available on Vudu, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu Plus, or anywhere else? I might need to hit up Banks again about that Google Drive stuff.

Ok it's decided then. Nominations for the first round are to be submitted either by pm or email (silversurfer19@hotmail.com) by Monday 2nd March. Nominees will be announced Tuesday 3rd March, and final nominations need to be in Friday 13th March prior to the Awards Ceremony on Saturday 14th March. I will update the front page accordingly.

Glad Frank is on the Master List. Really good movie. The titular character is interesting: reminiscent of Roky Erickson, Daniel Johnston, and/or Syd Barrett (despite Syd himself being referenced in the movie in a somewhat confusing manner). Great acting. I'm really liking Scoot McNairy (at least since I realized, today, that he isn't Casey Affleck).

I've seen my 38th film of the Master list yesterday, The Imitation Game. Solid but a bit too expected.

I don't think it was on the Master List but Google Play now has Inherent Vice available to rent or own (only one month after its wide release and without a home video release date).

And a great film at that, that could (should) be on the Master list.

Did we ever figure out Whiplash? It's really the only one I want to see pre-Oscars that I haven't.

I'm not going to be able to add it to the Google Drive. But it's still playing in theaters and the blu-ray comes out Tuesday.

Hey guys, just signed back into my Google Drive and Whiplash was in there, must've went through when I was away from the computer last.

I sent it to W, Tranny, and Geezer. Anyone else want it?

As of right now, this is what I have on there (I don't know if I'll be adding more, it seems to take days to add a movie for some reason):

Whiplash*
Imitation Game
A Most Violent Year
Love Is Strange
Nightcrawler
Selma*
Theory of Everything
Wild

* - these are .mkv files, they'll play through VLC, but won't if you transfer them to a flash drive to play through a PS3/dvd player.

If you want these, you have to PM me your email. Or post it here, I guess. This goes for you too, Span :D

Hope you are all enjoying ploughing through the Master List, as well as some notable movies that may have missed it too. I aim to watch another five or so movies in the next week to capture everything I think I need to see prior to nominations, some of these I have no idea what they are about, and that makes them all the more intriguing.

Just a reminder though that you all have exactly one week to get your first round nominees to me either by email or PM, so hopefully you are getting closer to narrowing down your ballots to the absolute best of the year, and you can discover the full list of nominees on the 3rd March in the lead up to the ceremony which will be held on Saturday 14th March.

I still haven't seen Birdman so I don't know what the Academy saw in it to think it was better than Boyhood (other than Birdman has a Fox Searchlight logo and Boyhood didn't).
