Manuel Ojeda, who starred in dozens of Mexican films, has passed at 81. He was in exactly one English-language film, playing the primary villain in the Michael Douglas/Kathleen Turner adventure film Romancing the Stone.

Damn. He helmed some of my guilty pleasures - Air Force One, In the Line of Fire, Troy... even The Neverending Story.

He quietly put together a really dynamic, impressive filmography over 3 decades. I forgot that his last English-language film was The Poseidon Adventure remake, which ironically was the 1st movie of his that I ever saw.
