Weekend numbers:

1. Don't Worry Darling $19.2 million
2. The Woman King $11.1 million (41% drop)
3. Avatar $10 million
4. Barbarian $4.8 million
5. Pearl $1.9 million
See How They Run $1.9 million ($19,000 separate these two)
Bullet Train $1.8 million
DC League of Super-Pets $1.8 million ($50,000 separate these two)
Top Gun: Maverick $1.6 million
Minions: The Rise of Gru $1 million

PTA

Avatar $5,376
Don't Worry Darling $4,668
The Woman King $2,960
Barbarian $1,660
Moonage Daydream $1,257

Comments:
- Don't Worry Darling was indeed frontloaded and probably won't hold in future weeks with the more audience-friendly Bros and more young adult-friendly Smile coming.
- Avatar: The Way of Water looks like it's going to be a big hit. $10 million in a 3-D only engagement is impressive for a film that everyone supposedly hates, according to the Internet.

And not in the game but of note: On the Come Up had the worst wide opening in Paramount's history, making only $150,000 in 603 theatres. Of course, this was on Paramount+ day-and-date and the move to put it into theatres was a very late one.

Wow, did not see that coming for Avatar. As Boosh and Chien said, this bodes well for Avatar 2 in December. Could be another $700m film coming.

I think Don't Worry Darling's drop is gonna be huge next week, nearly 70%. WOM is bad.

On the plus side The Woman King and Barbarian are both holding really well. Definitely on my to-see list.
