Re: SPEARE'S TIPS - The Films of 3/2/12
Much higher than who expected? I believe W and I were right on for that one, that's even on the low end!
Big splash for the Lorax, but the reviews are TRASHING it. I haven't heard one positive thing, and its making me have second thoughts on seeing it. I can't be the only one.

Yeah Project X is doing about what I expected as well, The Lorax is definitely doing better than I thought it would though.

Re: SPEARE'S TIPS - The Films of 3/2/12
Project X was doing absolutely nothing here today. The Lorax, Journey 2, Act of Valor and The Vow were instead getting all of the attention.
So it seems like the bad word-of-mouth is already setting in. That or it's not an afternoon movie.

Re: SPEARE'S TIPS - The Films of 3/2/12
A bit disappointed by "Being Flynn" numbers, I was expecting a better PTA. Fantastic numbers for "The Lorax". Glad to see "Undefeated" get some more points too.

Re: SPEARE'S TIPS - The Films of 3/2/12
Yeah the poor reviews of Being Flynn didn't help it.
I'm stunned by how well The Lorax did. Looks like there really is an economic boost of some sort, considering how surprisingly well most weekends have been this year.
Also guess my zany estimate that Lorax will reach 180m isn't too far off.

Wow.... did NOT expect 70 million for the Lorax! Totally shocked by such a high number. Now its almost sure to win back to back weekends. Glad I bought it at 88 bucks on HSX, not so glad I didn't take it more in this game.

Re: SPEARE'S TIPS - The Films of 3/2/12
Wow, thankfully I took The Lorax in about 17 of my 20 slates, so I'll be looking quite healthy after this weekend. Man, I don't wanna speak to quickly, but I may be getting better at this game. Only taken almost five years...

Re: SPEARE'S TIPS - The Films of 3/2/12
Undefeated increased in PTA this week due to its Oscar win. Maybe that pick won't be such a washout anymore.
And I took The Lorax in nearly everything. In fact, my entire March slates consisted of The Lorax, The Hunger Games, The Avengers and whatever limited titles I could find.

Same here regarding March Slates (Hunger, Lorax, Avengers + limited in ULT). Lorax should pull in PTA next week too as well as a ton of T5.
I went 24 of 24 with having The Lorax on my slates (not counting draft leagues).
