I think I figured out the kind of people going to see The Blind. I went to the Fathom Events reissue of House of 1000 Corpses today and noticed a family asking for directions for the auditorium showing The Blind. They looked like they had just walked off the Duck Dynasty set.

Meanwhile, I saw someone actually dressed up as Baby Firefly at House of 1000 Corpses, cowboy hat and everything. An interesting clash of people at AMC today.

That will likely be the only week Joan Baez: I Am a Noise gets points. It's playing in my area on Friday so it will probably be getting at least 50-75 theatres added to the theatre count.

That will more than likely be the case. Magnolia is using the same release strategy they used for their other recent docs Kokomo City and Invisible Beauty and expanding into 100 or so theaters the week after its opening at The Film Forum in NYC.

This week's column should be up at around 7 or 8 tonight, maybe earlier.
