Its not a great weekend is it? But i dont think Immortals will be that bad, it does have Mickey Rourke and the trailers look ok. Sandler films dont really get less than 50M, so it should get at least that, you cant say Harold and Kumar 3 is going to do better. Besides Jennifer Aniston is a big drawcard too, she hasnt had too many flops

If I remember correctly from the top 100 countdowns, some of the people predicting Jack & Jill will flop are normally big Adam Sandler fans?

It might be time to add it to my bankrupts slate.

I normally see all of Sandler's films but I have no interest in Jack and Jill. Seeing Sandler is a bra and panties was retina burning.

Jack and Jill seems like a straight to DVD role that Rob Schneider would have passed on...

It's hard to say. I'm not really a Sandler fan so I tend to under estimate how well his movies do at the box office. That said, this looks really, really terrible! How can this movie not fail?

But then again I've said that on more than a few of Sandler's movies.

Well I am a Sandler fan, and this looks BY FAR to be his worst effort.

I have to agree with you on that. Jack and Jill will be the worst out of Sandler's career.

Going Overboard is probably the worst of his I've seen. Grown Ups came pretty close and I didn't get past the first ten minutes of Funny People...

deadline is reporting that J Edgar made 53k at 7 locations yesterday. So things are looking good for its nation wide release tomorrow.

And on the sandler subject. I too believe that Jack and Jill looks horrible but IDK how many guest have walked through my lobby and have looked at the poster and said to their friend how excited they were to see it. People think that it looks funny for some reason

53K at 7 locations actually isn't great, considering films like the Skin I Live in, MMMM, Like Crazy, etc all had a higher Friday PTA.

well I said good not great for a reason but 7.5k pta for a wed isn't that bad really I don't think any of us expected it to have the 10k pta of a weekend day like SILI, MMMM, Like Crazy. I'm sure if it had a normal platformed release like those movies it would have done just as well

Well, to put it into context, Hereafter also opened limited on a Wednesday and it did more. So you could argue it won't do as well as that (which made about $33mil).

So I was reading a review for Jack and Jill (still a 0% on Rotten Tomatoes after 38 reviews) and apparently, Johnny Depp has a cameo. Did he need the money or something?
