Hello ALL!!

Welcome to the first Calendar Year Draft, where we'll be drafting movies released between 1/1/20 and 12/31/20! All grosses will only be counted through the last weekend of 2020, so any December movies won't receive their full grosses.

Everyone will have 24 hours to pick with the 1st round, and after that we may bring that down to 12 hours depending on the flow. We're 17 days away from the first releases of 2020 on 1/3/20, so we should be able to finish it time.

We should probably have only 12 rounds otherwise we're going to have more films to pick than in the standard game.

agreed. Looking at the schedule we're going to have a hard time finding enough movies to fill this many rounds.

I agree with cutting to 10 rounds. Especially since most of us haven't done our research yet, it's going to be rough drafting at the back end as it is. I think I might just wing this one and see how it turns out.

But yes, 10 may be the number. I counted all the wide releases for 2020 and only got 108, and 12 rounds has 158 picks...

Lucky number 13. Perfect group! And 10 rounds will probably be plenty.

Way to get this thing going banks! Gotta get my research in before the 3rd round. First draft without box office mojo is a challenge too.
