Re: A Question 4:
Hey Chien, you're from France, right?
Does anyone there know the difference between soccer and basketball?

Re: A Question 4:
That's a good one. I'm actually surprised no one tried to punch me in Ireland for being French...

You won't get that until you enter the Deep South.

Re: A Question 4:
It's not related to football. Southerners just don't like people who aren't them.

Re: A Question 4:
There's plenty of people in Dublin who will punch you for no reason. In fact chien was pretty lucky to survive as he was staying on the wrong side of town

Re: A Question 4:
I escaped death that's for sure At least I'm sure that's what my girlfriend thought, because when we got back to the guest house at night, I could sense she wasn't very confident in the streets when we were crossing the path of drunk dubliners

They were probably armed with katanas and Super Soakers filled with lighter fluid.

Re: A Question 4:
To be honest, I found the streets of Dublin to be quite mellow in comparison to what I've seen in the past. Liverpool at night is a no-go zone, as are many areas of NY, Bangkok and Kenya.

Re: A Question 4:
I've read Toronto at night is supposed to be the best. Many places are open late and crime is limited.

Re: A Question 4:
The best night city I know is Seoul. It's the safest big one I've walked through. The city is alive at night, long after what we have in Europe, the shops, the restaurants, the bars, the city continues to live at night, and I've wandered in the streets of the city for hours in the heart of the night, and I've never felt in danger. Even in the dead of the night in neighbourhoods you don't know, people are cool, even the most drunk ones.

Re: A Question 4:
Auckland is usually pretty good, mainly because every has headed off to be bed by 10 or 11. The city literally sleeps for the night, nightlife is very limited.
