I assume the Magic didn't take Exum because they don't believe he's a point guard and they don't want Olidipo to run the team either. If you look at who they drafted/traded for #12, Payton is a more traditional point guard.

Ok, i see their reasoning. But you said it yourself, Exum has that Penny comparison, and he has declared he wants to run the point at Utah. I havent looked into Payton yet

I'm not saying that's what I'd have done. I wouldn't have drafted Gordon #4 or made that trade. I probably would have rolled the dice on Exum because I think he's top 4 in the draft and the other three were already gone. We both may be biased on this one (you being Australian, and Penny being my favorite player as a kid), but I think we're right.

Jason Kidd will take over the Milwaukee Bucks coaching staff pending the agreement of a trade that will give the Nets a second round pick in next year's draft in exchange. Will Jabari and Kidd be a good fit in Milwaukee?

Meanwhile, no one seems to be rumored for the Nets job but I could see Tyronn Lue being a contender.

You can trade coaches now?

And not only would Kidd be head coach, but he also wants GM power. Why would any team, especially one on the up and up with Jabari Parker, give a coach with one year experience (an extremely average season at that) that kind of power?

I'd say good riddance if I were the Nets. As of now, he's nothing special as a coach and believes he's worth a Phil Jackson, SVG, Pat Riley deal? Nope. They don't need it.

And I don't remember NBA trading coaches, but remember the John Gruden trade?

I thought of the John Farrell trade, actually (the Red Sox got Farrell and a pitcher from the Blue Jays in exchange for Mike Aviles and cash).

As for the Bucks, that team has been run poorly for so many years that they have nothing to lose at this point.

rightly said Boosh, they have nothing to lose.

The thing is WHY would kidd demand so much power? If u ask me, i would say its because he may actually know a thing or two about basketball. Milwaukee is going to surprise many people. Larry Sanders is due for a breakout year, so too Brandon Knight. The Greek Freak can only improve, and Parker is destined for greatness

And Kidd is officially the new coach of the Bucks. In exchange, the Nets get second round picks in 2015 and 2019 (teams cannot trade picks in consecutive years, as stated by the Stepien Rule).

Read an article today that the Suns are actively pursuing LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony. I know we have shitloads of cap space, but holy shit, if we can pull that off...

Isn't Carmelo on the decline though? If I had a team with huge cap space, I'd have second thoughts on signing him (also, he can't win in the playoffs).

Depends. He's a must-sign for any team $ wise. I'd like to see what he could do as a second banana or with someone at least close to his level/a team that doesn't need his veteran leadership like Dallas. A team like OKC, no.

So LeBron is a Cav again. Kevin Love is probably coming as well in a sign and trade for Bennett, Waiters, and a pick or two. So, is:

Varejao
Love
LeBron
Wiggins
Kyrie

Plus
Tristan Thompson
Gee
And whatever vets will sign to ring chase

Good enough to beat Indy? If so, beat whatever team gets out of the West?

I don't think Twolves will trade Love without getting Wiggins back, at least.
