Jackass 4 is now titled Jackass Forever. At least it's not called Jackass 4Ever.

Army of the Dead was released less than three months ago but we're already getting a prequel, Army of Thieves, before the end of the year. Who besides the Snydercut crowd wanted this?

In other news, Respect will be sneaked on August 8th.

Snyder quietly got Netflix to commit to making 3 Army of the Dead projects when he signed on (there's also an animated prequel series that deals with the early days of zombie outbreak in Las Vegas that could also be out by the end of the year). Army of Thieves is supposedly more of a straight heist movie than Army of the Dead and Snyder didn't direct it, so it should be at least somewhat different.

So I see Naomi Scott finally got a new project. It seemed like Charlie's Angels killed her career after Aladdin seemed to be a breakout.

Lionsgate is supposed to releasing a third Clerks movie next year. I'll believe it when I see it.

Even with Neon releasing it, I wouldn't expect a similar result to Parasite. A tenth of that film's gross would be a great success for this one.

Its fellow French export Portrait of a Lady on Fire-which pulled in $3.8 mil during its domestic run-is a much more responsible comp than Parasite and honestly, that might even be a stretch based on the WOM about the extreme gore it features.

Portrait of a Lady on a Fire was less dark and had its theatrical run cut short due to COVID (remember when I told my story about seeing it?). I'd say this one is much more comparable.

I think how much it does depends on what it's rated. If it's NC-17, I can't see it making more than that. If it's R, it could do close to 10m I think.

Is it just me, or is The Night House being dumped? There has been no marketing whatsoever, not even a second trailer.

Universal announced yesterday they are in the works with three new Exorcist films that will follow the original with a reported total budget of $400 million. Ellen Burstyn will star in the first of the three films, which has David Gordon Green attached to direct. The other two will likely be exclusive to Peacock.

$400 mil isn't the budget for the trilogy, it's what Universal paid for the rights.

In other news, A24 has dated Lamb for October 8th.
