A24 has acquired the rights to Darren Aronofsky's Pi from Lionsgate and is planning an IMAX reissue for March 14th. Blowing up a 16mm title to IMAX is going to make for some really large grain.

In one of the more unexpected adaptations of a movie to the stage, Studio Ghibli commissioned a filmed performance of the stage adaptation of Spirited Away in Tokyo and has licensed it to Fathom Events for a two-day engagement beginning on April 23rd. Had this gotten a traditional run, it might have done okay solely on the curiosity.

The untitled project from comedy team Please Don't Destroy is going to be titled...Please Don't Destroy.

They should have gone with Please Don't Destroy Starring Please Don't Destroy and Written by Please Don't Destroy but this isn't a Sony release.

In a case of "why is this happening?", the first Terrifier is getting a wide reissue on July 19th, even though it's seemingly on every streaming service known to man. But of course, the fanbase for these movies are extremely vocal.

Remember that movie from a few years back called Becky, where Kevin James is a neo-Nazi who holds a teenage girl hostage? We're getting a sequel later this year, with Seann William Scott playing the villain this time.

I'm surprised it's not getting dumped onto Hulu. It seems like something that would have a hard time finding an audience, especially since the subject that it's aimed towards (theatre kids) tend to view film-based acting as inferior and can't take jokes about themselves (source: being around these people for over two years).

I'll be surprised if Dumb Money makes any money. Pretty much everyone forgot that story in a week's time and only the entertainment industry continues to mention it.

Dungeons & Dragons is getting sneak previewed on March 26th. Doesn't it kind of defeat the purpose of a sneak preview if you're only going to preview movies that already have a built-in audience?

Buoyed its Oscar success, Everything Everywhere All at Once is getting a wide reissue for the third time, almost exactly one year after opening and even though it's long been on demand, on physical media, and has been on Showtime for months. Who exactly is still going to see this in theatres when it's cheaper to rent it or to watch on Showtime?

But then again, it makes more sense that the wide reissues of the Terrifier movies happening later this year.

Misanthrope is now titled To Catch a Killer. I guess Vertical wanted to sell it to the Redbox crowd.
