Nice. Although supposedly this was originally a Disney+ series that's now being converted into a theatrical film, so hopefully it turns out good. Also, please cancel the damn live-action remake.

The live action version is still in the works, but it's possible that it will no longer release in 2025.

As long as they don't rush Moana 2 like they did Wish, it should do fine. But the jury will still be out until a trailer is released.

David Leitch is no longer in talks to direct the next Jurassic World movie due to creative differences, he's a good action director but kinda seemed like an odd choice for a JW movie honestly. It's also probably going to take high levels of crunch to meet the June 2025 date, so that might've played a part.

Seems like Vertical is hoping for awards. Reviews weren't particularly great and it might make more sense to go day-and-date with it in May or sometime before awards season.

Coyote vs. ACME has been officially shelved, all because Zaslav wanted someone to pay $80 million for it even though Warner Bros. only gets $30 million by shelving it for the tax writeoff. Who wants to bet James Gunn leaves Warner Bros. now.

In the latest "not sure if this is happening or Box Office Mojo put a non-existent movie in their schedule again" listing, DreamWorks apparently has a film based on Dav Pilkey's Dog Man books coming on 1/31/2025. This is set in the same universe as Captain Underpants and takes place before those books.

Sam Mendes will be directing a series of 4 Beatles biopics that are told from the perspective of each member of the band. Sony will be releasing them all theatrically in 2027. While I'm not confident this will work, Mendes deserves credit for attempting so ambitious.

That sounds when four KISS solo albums came out on the same day. It wasn't very successful.

As for box office, watch them release the John Lennon one first as that's the one with the most box office potential. Then Paul, followed by George and Ringo.

They have to put the Ringo one out first right? Setting a real low floor will make the numbers for the latter 3 look great.

If they put Ringo out first, the studio would assume there's no interest in the other three. You have to start high and hope to hold on. In addition, if you keep costs low by shooting them as one big project, the first two could be big enough to offset potential losses on Ringo.

I'd expect John to be out in September 2027 so it can premiere at the festivals, Paul in December to take advantage of the holidays, George in March, and Ringo in June.
