Because Nolanbros insist it was actually good and was misunderstood during its original release, Tenet is returning to theatres on 2/23/2024.

Amazon will debut Ricky Stanicky on Prime on March 7th. Rather muted debut for a film from a rather recent Oscar winner and featuring two familiar leads (Zac Efron and John Cena).

Horrorscope is now titled Tarot. The release date remains at May 10th.

Meanwhile, Neon is planning a big ad campaign for Longlegs, scheduled for July 12th. I'm not sure why, as Osgood Perkins hasn't had a hit as a director and Maika Monroe hasn't done much of interest since It Follows. Yes, Nicolas Cage is in it but he's not a mainstream draw anymore.

In what might be the most unexpected remake of the year, BET is partnering up with Iconic Events to release a remake of Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead theatrically later this year. It's apparently a lot more raunchy than the original, as noted by the R rating it received earlier this week.

Beetlejuice 2 is now titled Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. I guess he's no longer going Hawaiian like he was expected to many years ago.

The latest example of "I bet you didn't know a sequel was in the works": Peacock has scheduled a low-budget sequel to Megamind for a March 1st debut. Unsurprisingly, none of the original actors returned for this one.

This is a rare case where I'd be okay with something becoming a tax write-off, they're about to tarnish a classic with this bullshit.

So is Young Woman and the Sea getting upgraded to a theatrical release? This was originally produced for Disney+.

Indeed. Test scores were in the 90's and Disney was apparently encouraged enough by the modest success of The Boys in the Boat to make the pivot.

I didn't expect they'd find a director worse than Colin Trevorrow.

Now watch them find a lead worse than Chris Pratt.

Lily Gladstone's slew of nominations has finally allowed her acclaimed 2023 Sundance feature Fancy Dance to find a home: Apple has picked up the worldwide rights and will release it on Apple TV+ and in theaters (likely in a limited capacity) later this year.

Disney's Untitled Animated Feature dated for November 27th has been revealed to be Moana 2. That should be enough to put an end to their pre-Thanksgiving dry spell.
