Not really surprising numbers. I expected Brothers to do a little bit better than that.

Up in the Air to have a PTA of 68000. Probably not enough to beat Princess and the Frog

Compare those estimates to mine:
1. The Blind Side - $22 million
2. Twilight: New Moon - $16 million
3. Brothers - $11 million
4. 2012 - $10 million
5. Armored - $9 million
I anticipated 4-7 would be between 2012, Armored, Old Dogs and Xmas Carol. We'll see what the final numbers are, but for the Top 2? Damn, I'm good...

And if estimates hold up, Transylmania will have the third worst wide opening of all-time. Friday numbers were at $95,000 in 1,007 theatres for an abysmal $94 PTA. Should have stayed straight-to-video.

Transylmania sold only 13 tickets all day Friday, which would put it in Delgo terrority.

Re: Weekend Box Office Dec 4-6
Yesterday, the theatre that I usually go to was doing a canned food drive. Five canned goods equaled one free admission. Pretty everything did well...except for Transylmania. It's kind of funny when you think about it.
Meanwhile, these movies sold out shows:
The Blind Side
New Moon
Old Dogs
Planet 51

I picked Brothers for $3 on the italian site. Pretty good deal for 3 top five points and a 7+ imdb.

Maybe Jack Black should have played him.
