Relativity has just pulled Masterminds from 10/9/2015 and has not announced a new date. Could they be rethinking holding onto it?

In other news, Fox is considering canceling development on Fantastic Four 2 and will instead give its 6/9/2017 release date to Deadpool 2 (which was only just announced last week).
Isn't that a fast turnaround for a sequel? 16 months?

It's fast (especially for a big budget movie) but not the fastest. A Shot in the Dark was released six months (three in the US) after The Pink Panther in 1964 while Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo came seven months after Breakin' in 1984.

I just found out Ang Lee's newest (Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk) was shot in 3-D at 120fps (more than double the frame rate of The Hobbit movies). Looks like live-action native 3-D (and high-frame rate, for that matter) won't be dead yet on November 11th, 2016.

Meanwhile, Furious 7, Jurassic World, The Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Dope (and possibly Inside Out) are planned to be returning to theatres around Labor Day to squeeze some remaining monies (and in Dope's case, attempt to find the audience it couldn't find back in June).

nice, so Jurassic World might have a chance at surpassing Titanic after all.

New release dates:

Goodnight, Mommy 9/11/2015
Life (James Dean biopic) 9/25/2015
Drunk, Stoned, Brilliant, Dead (documentary on National Lampoon) 9/25/2015
Taxi (new Jafar Panahi film) 10/2/2015
The Forbidden Room (new Guy Maddin film) 10/7/2015
Trash 10/9/2015 (Focus is pretty much dumping this long-delayed Stephen Daldry film)
The Assassin 10/16/2015
Love (Gaspar Noe's 3-D movie, being released by Alchemy) 11/6/2015

Meanwhile, film financier and lender RKA Film Financing is seeking to acquire the rights to four Relativity titles (Masterminds, Before I Wake, The Disappointments Room, and Kidnap) and sell them to new distributors in an attempt to recoup some of the $85 million owed to them. Also, it looks like Before I Wake is now back to being titled Somnia.

Kino's releasing it so I'm sure there will be a Blu-ray in a few months.

I'd love to see Taxi added to the game, and maybe The Assassin. Both have serious PTA potential.

New release date:

Scooby-Doo 9/21/2018

Spider-Man's taking the animated feature plunge and now, so will Scooby-Doo. Will 2018 be 2002 again?

It looks like Broad Green's beginning to feel the strain of having too much unreleased product and not enough money to release them as they have sold Green Room to A24. The movie will now open some time in early 2016 (I'm guessing a wide run in late February).

Meanwhile, Freestyle has moved up Hell and Back to 10/2/2015 (from 10/9/2015). And it looks like it will be wider than the originally intended 500 theatres.

And to no one's surprise, Shanghai has been delayed (again) to 10/2/2015.

Sony has put The Lady in the Van back at December but it will now be a one-week Oscar qualifying run followed by a general run in January. Looks like Maggie Smith's back in the Oscar race.

According to Deluxe, Focus has supposedly replaced Clarius on distributing My All-American. If true, I'd be surprised if it stayed at October 9th (especially since Pure Flix is opening its own inspirational football movie Woodlawn one week later).
