Back after a two-week absence, the standings are here and everyone stayed put, although Tranny increased his lead. Six is on the verge of crossing $400M, and Banks is about to jump thanks to the power of the spice. I still don’t know who, between Six and myself, will end up last at the end of the season.

I think I need a Cabrini-prompted miracle to not finish last.

But you still have 3 films to open, each with a bit of potential to grab some dollars.
I only have Monkey Man. I hope it's gonna break out. The Crunchyroll film I took, I have no idea if it can make money.

Chien, Walleye doesn't just have Episodes 1-3 of The Chosen, he has the entire 4th season. We decided to package all 3 installments together back when it hit the wire since they released in such close proximity.

Really ? I'll adjust it later. But I don't really understand why that decision was taken, it's basically like having three films in one pick.
Had it been a film released in two parts 3 weeks apart, I don't think we would have taken that decision. If it was settled back then I'll apply it no problem, but I think if the case happens again, we should do differently.

Agreed with Chien. I guess I missed that conversation too, but if it's coming out on separate release dates and sites like BOM and The Numbers are separating them, then we should too.

Presumably, for the next draft we won't be lumping the Horizon films together, for example, as we wouldn't have for Kill Bill.

Fair enough. I viewed The Chosen as a loophole on account of it being a TV series releasing episodes theatrically in rapid succession. This will be a one-off and we'll treat them as separate entries moving forward.

I'd be surprised if they did the same for Season 5. The end result for this move has been nothing but filler for theatres that needed product.

I could see The CW trying to make a deal to get exclusive first-run airing rights if the show continues, which would make more sense than Angel Studios hoping that the "pay it forward" strategy works again.

I'm good either way. If I felt like it was going to get me into the top 3 I'd fight harder for it, but it's my own dang fault that a WW pickup might be my 3rd or 4th best pick of the draft.

You were promised the whole season when you picked it up. It's only fair that remains the case.

Banks keeps on climbing up, this time to 6th place, above Ron. The rest remains in place. Six is catching up on me, only $31M behind now. If Monkey Man does better than The First Omen, it should be enough for me to stay in the first to last spot. Yay !
