Here's a little update on the standings for this year's yearly draft. Tranny is the only one who doesn't appear as his first film will only open on July 15. Screen should quickly climb the ladder with the opening of the new Thor this weekend. And Six is sixth, I don't know if it will ever happen again in the season so let's enjoy this meta phenomenon.

STANDINGS (up until July 4th included)

1. Chien - $570,034,231 (1 film - Top Gun Maverick)

We all wonder what our adventure here would have been had we chosen 15 years ago another alias as our name.
I've been called "Dog" every day here for fifteen years, and it will be no wonder if one of these days I start barking

If I had joined this site anytime after 2007, my username definitely wouldn't have been inspired by Michael Bay's Transformers

It's probably just me but I have not seen one trailer for any of the August 5th titles.

Not seeing a single trailer for Bullet Train from the beginning of March through now is an incredible achievement.

I've seen posters, sure, but not a single trailer for Bullet Train has played before any movie I've gone to see in a theatre. Of course, I rarely go to theatres that insist on 20-25 minutes of previews before the movie.

I know Drafthouse has unusual curation choices and fewer trailers, but it's still remarkable that it wasn't attached to anything you've seen over the past 5 months (particularly the wide releases).

And clearly you also didn't watch any of the NBA Finals because Sony absolutely FLOODED those broadcasts with Bullet Train marketing. The logo was on the ad banner closest to center court in all 6 games, they ran normal 30-second spots during every game and there was a string of crossover ads with Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Brian Tyree Henry's characters hosting a fake talk show where they interviewed Damian Lillard, Trae Young and Lonzo Ball.

Indeed it seems it should remain your spot for a while !
I'm glad Elvis is a success. It's good to see such a film be able to make it to $100M.
