Sorry guys, didn't hear the clock ringing this morning.
Well, I'm gonna cross fingers it holds its date or doesn't Move too far and go with Kraven the Hunter..

Let's see if we want to see Shawn Mendes on the big screen with a lighter, gentler Javier Bardem.

Re: 2022-23 YEARLONG BOX OFFICE DRAFT LEAGUE
I'll start off with Halloween Ends. The 2nd was a dud but they're probably going to kill off Laurie Strode in this one so maybe it can get a finale bump back into the $100M range. At the very least, it has a floor coming out in spooky movie season.
Then I'll stay on theme and go with Haunted Mansion. It's not the dark Guillermo del Toro version I was hoping for but there's some star power attached and the calendar is loaded with question marks at this point. It just got dated so hopefully it sticks... although knowing my luck, it'll get moved to October where it belongs.

Almost took this in the last round but felt it would be a reach then. Let's hope the fans dress up in character and flock to the theatre again, even with mixed early reviews.

Haunted Mansion was on my sight for this round, good pick. And Halloween Ends has a solid floor. Downton Abbey is pretty successful here in France right now, so it should do fine too, although it seems early to pick it.
Well, here's another one, like Kraven, I hope will keep its date, but the filming is done since last year, and Paramount has begun selling it, opening a Twitter account for it and all. I'm surprised, like Kraven before, it's still available, as if it could bomb, it could also be a strong perfomer next spring. So let's try Dungeons & Dragons : Honor Among Thieves.

You must really expect this one to leave May then. Personally, I'm thinking too much of Snake Eyes with D&D.
With Downton, the first grossed $97 million in the US and there really doesn't seem to be many bonafide hits this summer. Also, there aren't too many movies out there for adults and Americans love rich English people.

When did it move? Box Office Mojo lists May 3rd.

Box-office Mojo is the only site listing it for May 3, while everywhere else, it's March 3. Its official Twitter Account, which only just opened a few days ago, lists March 3.

Oh, I see. I don't care about Dungeons & Dragons, so I wouldn't know. But does anyone care after that previous film version with Jeremy Irons and the guy from Scary Movie? But maybe Paramount is going to try and convince fans that this one will be good like they did The Last Airbender.

That's the other movie I was debating here Chien, good pick. I ended up getting scared off by how badly the original bombed but it could easily break out if they do it the right way and don't restrict the appeal to the tiny D&D community niche. I just couldn't find enough info on the production to feel comfortable.

Like I said, it could very well bomb, but it's still, on the paper, a blockbuster with potential for round 4, one I thought would have been taken by now, soI'm glad with it at this time of the draft.

Re: 2022-23 YEARLONG BOX OFFICE DRAFT LEAGUE
The bombing of the 2000 is cause for caution, but times have changed, and production, hopefully, should wisely lurk towards Game of Thrones and The Witcher rather than the 2000 film, for it to find success.Spectre wrote: ↑May 3rd, 2022, 10:35 amThat's the other movie I was debating here Chien, good pick. I guess we're supposed to ignore how everyone turned on Game of Thrones towards the end.
