I hadn't even heard of this film until I found out it's the Easter placeholder from Sony.

Sterling K. Brown seems to not mind being C-list Idris Elba/Mahershala Ali. Also, a film with that premise is asking to be a spoof of sports films.

All Rise however premiered at Sundance last year (as Monster) and may have been on the Waiver Wire.
