And I hereby declare the 2019-2020 draft ...

OPEN!!!

I fully expect this draft, like most past drafts, will take a full two weeks to complete, but if we can keep it moving along at a good clip, that would be awesome. I will send out emails and FB reminders when it's your turn. If someone could do the same for me, cool.

Just a reminder - any movie that is debuting on May 3 (Uglydolls, The Intruder, Long Shot) that is undrafted by 5:00 pm Arizona time will no longer be eligible.

Are you setting up a separate draft thread for each division Shrykey?

FYI Brockster:

As of Thursday, May 2, Avengers: Endgame's total stood at $473,894,638. Every dollar it earns on top of that is yours.

Even if that turns out to be less than 50% of its total (which is kinda where I figured the math would be when choosing at number two) I think Lion King beats it, so still satisfied with the choice. I honestly think The Lion King has an outside chance to be the number one film for nine consecutive weeks.

I'm not buying the Lion King hype at all. I haven't seen or heard much buzz for it (I've read more "why was this remade?" comments more than anything) and it feels as if Dumbo and Aladdin could hurt it.

I could see Tarantino's movie beating it in the second weekend.

Lion King is going to be huge. I agree with your pick Geez. Would have done the same thing. I had it #2 on my board

Yeah... the animation made double what Beauty and the Beast made, and the live action version of that made 500 million dollars. The live action Broadway version of the Lion King has grossed over 1.4 BILLION dollars. It is the most beloved film in Disney's entire catalog. But sure, we'll go with this theory
