I love Interview with the Vampire. One of the most subversively brilliant mainstream movies about homoeroticism.

Boosch, I just watched Ready Player One and I fully agree. Ugh

As for films I should have asked for a refund... World Trade Centre, Gone girl, and Fifty Shades of Grey all spring to mind.

I need Shazam and Pet Sematary to overperform.
The previous week was a mathematical error on my part. Sorry.

This year is really crazy. Only 4 more weekends and it's still hard to figure out how it will end up.
Time to start preparing for the next draft though...

As of right now, I have it:

1. Jas
2. Walleye
3. Six
4. Chien
5. Buscemi
6. Spectre
7. Aquamann
8. Leestu
9. Shaan
10. Geezer

but there's a ton still up in the air. I don't think there will be a big climb from anyone in my projection but groups like 1/2, 3/4/5, 6/7/8 could flip pretty easily.

Next year's draft is going to be super interesting at the top because you can make an argument for or against pretty much everything in my Top 5. I have no idea how it'll play out. Gotta get prepping

Plus, since the consensus seems to be to have 11 players in each draft, that means only the bottom 2 will drop to Division B. Which means not only will leestu get a reprieve if he finishes in 8th, but he'll get to pick first. How bout dem apples, leestu?

Has it been officially confirmed that everyone is returning from this year's A/B?

With only a few exceptions, most of the people who play in this game are regular posters on the boards. The two players who have posted the least in the past year, Geezer and Shaan, I have already reached out to. Both are down for the coming draft. If anyone else has thoughts about pulling out, I have not been made aware of them.

JAS also doesn't post much, but I very much doubt he'd quit after scoring a victory.

He could pull a Costanza and walk away on top :)

I took a first look at my Top Ten for next year - I think they've all got strong potential to clear 300-350 million. Crazy year.

That would be a fortuitous turn of events but I'm still not confident that I'll finish 8th. Either way it's an exciting finish for me.

It seemed like most people were in favor of contributing $5 or $10 to a prize pool, though the method of transfer was still in debate. I am happy to serve as treasurer, of course. I've had a paypal account for a long time.

i'd rather not pay to play. maybe the prize just goes to the next person in line if someone who didn't contribute wins. or can donate it to red cross or something

That's fair. The prize is meant to be a reward, not a means of chasing people away.
