For what it's worth I think drafting an actual movie should supersede any placeholder draft spots. Just makes more sense that way. I appreciate the dilemma, but placeholder spots seem pretty goofy to me all around, I'd be pretty fine dropping them.

And Shaan did not take my pick! Wahoo!

So, I'll take All-Star Weekend from Jamie Foxx. I hope it's not just a vanity project. And hopefully it gets dated for next All-star weekend.

Then I'll take Breakthrough. I'm not sure it will do I Can Only Imagine numbers, but it's as good as anything in these rounds. Plus I doubt it will move since it wants to be open around Easter.

Shaan picks LAbyrinth, another one of his choices from last year.

Ok so just to put some clarity on the situation I will make my untitled movie from last round Happy death day 2 and for this round I will take Ma directed by Tate Taylor another possible blumhouse movie for that date.

I thought we had already ruled last year that we don't draft placeholders, so yeah, I'm all for drafting films and not placeholders.

Anyway, I've been playing it safe for the last few rounds, let's go Oscar-friendly with Beautiful Boy.

Sorry I held everyone up. I was at a couple of old movies.

Anyway, I will beef up the Oscar profile and take Can You Ever Forgive Me?. I have a feeling both Melissa McCarthy and Richard E. Grant will get nominations.

I'll start by taking White Boy Rick again. I took it in the 12th last year so this is a discount :P. Supposedly the trailer looks good so hopefully it can find some room to run during the dregs of September.

Then I'll grab Sorry to Bother You. This looks absolutely insane but it has gotten good buzz following Sundance/SXSW on social media and Get Out proved last year that social commentary can play. Let's see if Annapurna can turn it into a hit.
