Sorry for the delay, had to make some tough decisions. I don’t have a list. I highlight a bunch of titles then have to decide between what’s left after each round.

No worries. There's no "right" way to do this.

But there are plenty of wrong ways to play. Like the time I took The Walk in the third round.

YouTube seems to be where the gullible incels hang out. Who knows how many videos exist that claim Marvel dropped Brie Larson when they never did (also, she was in the top two movies this week, Marvel would be stupid to listen to a vocal minority).

Those fanboy videos are pretty convincing, i haven't seen the last jedi since cause of that, plus: im sure six would have given it less than 6/10

Four hours and about 100 curse words later the brakes are done. I'll resume drafting now :)

The choices are getting hard already... that doesn't bode well for the later rounds haha. I'm going to take Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. The books were pretty much little kid nightmare fuel for my generation and based on the teaser, it looks like they're trying to capture the creepiness of the original art. This looks like it has a chance to be good, Del Toro's involvement should help sell it, and if it's a PG-13 that skews R instead of PG, it could do really well.

Walleye is Colin Firth, apparently.

As for Scary Stories, I'm convinced it might end up being R. The trailer makes it look too scary for younger audiences and the other credited writers wrote the Saw sequels (I'm thinking very little of del Toro's script is in the film).

I gave him a wake-up call. He should be ready after tooth-brushing and Corn Flakes.

I'd love it if this ends up being an R although I think PG-13 is ideal. They need to make this appeal to the people who grew up with the books if they want it to do well. If it ends up in the PG realm, it'll be too creepy for kids and too tame for adults. But I'd be stunned if it ends up as the latter based on the teaser.

I have a list but I rarely ever follow it top to bottom. The flow of the draft and what I want to stomach risk-wise as my slate fills out almost always makes me adjust. Usually I look at my top 10-20 ranked films and pick from there.
