I will double check everyone's numbers next week. I do my weekly stats on my brontosaurus of a PC, whose favorite phrase is "Not Responding", and I guess I was in a hurry to get it over with this week.
Sorry for the confusion.

...I mean, I'll take it... But probably I don't believe it. The three-hour(-PLUS) runtime is going to eat into OW revenues. I'm predicting a $213M FSS.

Endgame opens on an empty weekend. Theatres will more than likely devote half their screens (at least) for it.
I remember when the last Harry Potter opened and fifteen screens in one theatre played it at midnight. The place was a madhouse (and it made me swear off midnight shows).

Fucking Dumbo (the movie and myself).
It's official. This is my worst draft ever. The new season can't start soon enough.

It ain't over 'til the eggs are in the omelette.
And IF I happen to earn out, my reward will be to pick dead last, again!
[Cracks knuckles] I'd better get to work vetting next Season's candidate slates...

Re: 2018-19 Full Year Slates (Division B)
Maybe it's just me, but i feel like the marketing has been terrible for Endgame. The only reason i want to go see it is because I've seen the previous films and want to see who dies. However, if i just went on what i've seen for Endgame, i would not be interested in the slightest.
but i guess according to that articles, the marketing doesn't even have to be good.

Re: 2018-19 Full Year Slates (Division B)
The movie has set pre-sales records. The trailer could have just been Thanos and Kevin Feige giving each other a reacharound and everyone would still show up.
At least it's had better marketing than Godzilla: King of the Monsters. I thought this was supposed to be Godzilla fighting Mothra, not Vera Farmiga going "I told you so" and Eleven searching for her movie dad while running away from Drake's advances for two hours.

Re: 2018-19 Full Year Slates (Division B)
Godzilla has, IMO(I may be biased here, considering the only reason I'm seeing Shazam! in IMAX - or at all - is because of the footage being shown) actually had the best marketing for a tentpole in years. I think it will surprise with how successful it is (if the marketing isn't as misleading as the first - which still was one of the best recent summer blockbusters) and could fulfill that Jurassic Park/World or Transformers-esque spot.
It's not destroying. It's making something new.

I'm with you Screen, I think Godzilla looks fantastic. And I've loved the marketing so far.
