Oh man, I just heard the news. This is so sad. So so so sad. I can't believe it.

I just woke up to this news. I'm so heartbroken.

Sure, we didn't meet, but Shryke was so central to this little group, and as centres go, he was as upbeat, fun, empathetic, and as honest as you could get. We'd exchange messages from time to time on Facebook, and I knew he was battled with cancer, but had no idea how he'd been lately. It's weird, I may not have met him, and yet I'll deeply, sorely miss him.

Rest in Peace, Shrykester

I still have difficulties finding my words. It will take some time digest this sad sad news. We all lost a friend. Even if we never met, he was a big part of our life and of our group. This is really heartbreaking.

If you need someone to take over for Shryke, I'm available.

I remember one of the best pieces of advice I ever got came from Shryke. He told on here once, "pick your battles". Maybe I should do this for him. I probably won't win but I can do this for him if any of you are fine with it.
That would be great, thanks Boosch

This is really sad news. He was such a great bloke. Always thought I would go visit him like I did six and chien. Just a shock. Like you guys, I knew he battled cancer but this was unexpected to say the least.

Glad you are onboard Boosh, I'm gonna offer you any one of my picks not from round 1 as a boost for Shrykes final slate.

Hopefully this bands this group here together even more after this. You are all my mates even if we never met, just like Shryke.

Boosch, thank you o much for offering that. It would perpetuate Shryke in this game he started but couldn't finish.
You could finish the draft in his spot and play, and maybe we could call your slate something hybrid with your two aliases, like "Shrykemi" or something in this spirit, to keep him with us all year long.

Thank you. I'll go unbilled, much like Rob Lowe in Tommy Boy, in my re-entry.

Anyway in Shryke's place, I will select Saw X. 2000's nostalgia's in and Jigsaw's returning, so maybe it resurrects the franchise.

Thanks Boosch. It's a great gesture from you to take over his slate.

I put Saw X for Round 5. Spectre, you're up for round 6, and then it will be Boosch again.

Still super saddened by the news. I know Shryke would want us to keep going but man, I'm gonna miss the big guy.

I'll take A Haunting in Venice. Death on the Nile fell off a cliff at the box office but maybe the horror theme of this one can get a little more juice out of the Poirot franchise.

It's been delayed once before and it's likely getting pushed again but it should be able to do Lyle Lyle Crocodile numbers, maybe more if it gets a decent marketing campaign.

I'll go with Five Nights at Freddy's. It's set for day-and-date with Peacock at the moment which doesn't help but fans have been waiting around a decade for this so I'd imagine many will hit the theaters. Hopefully it burns brightly in the 5 days it has in Halloween season before it crashes and burns after.

Beautifully put. He was such a sincere, forthcoming and genuinely nice guy that you felt like you knew him even though many of us never met him and I think that's a large part of why he was a pillar of our group dating all the way back to the Fantasy Moguls days. His vibrant spirit is irreplaceable and will never be forgotten by any of us. Rest Easy, Patrick.

Once you guys are finished with the draft, maybe we should do a big countdown in his honor. I think he would have wanted the tradition to carry on.
