Bummer to whoever has the Friday the 13th remake in the BO leagues but Paramount has bumped it back from March to the next Friday the 13th in November 2015.
The slot instead goes to Scouts vs. Zombies which looks like a potential waiver wire target.

Re: SPEARE'S TIPS - The Films of 5/30
I'm not touching A Million Ways with a 10 foot pole, I think it's going to sorely disappoint. It doesn't look good at all and between bad WoM and being a western, I think it'll sink like a stone (if it even hits that $30M projection which I don't think it will). Really intrigued by that Maleficent n...

Re: The Latest Date Changes 2: The New Batch
I'd be surprised if Penguins competes for much of Big Hero 6's audience, seems like different demos IMO and 2.5 weeks is plenty of gap to build up WoM. Good news for Penguins owners though.

Re: SPEARE'S TIPS - The Films of 5/16
Interesting that WOM seems to be mixed. I'll be curious what happens next weekend if it holds or takes a step back based on the audience reaction. Haven't seen it yet myself but am still incredibly excited to check it out. I think it's hitting on its target though, most of my buddies are the kind o...

Re: SPEARE'S TIPS - The Films of 5/16
Godzilla made $9.3 mil last night and it's now being projected it will open over $100 mil for the weekend. I'd be flabbergasted if it opened that high. Godzilla is the kind of movie that could easily front-load an opening night; it has some passionate fans and the 1998 movie was awful so I can see ...

Re: SPEARE'S TIPS - The Films of 5/16
Well i dont dare argue with you Spectre, but what else are families going to see? Dorothy? I hope not haha, we don't need the public encouraging bad animation :P That's the biggest thing that it has going for it - it's PG entertainment in a sea of PG-13/R. Honestly though, if it's my family, I'd ta...

Re: SPEARE'S TIPS - The Films of 5/16
Yeah, id be expecting that disney is expecting more, especially with that counter programming. I'm not convinced it does better than that tracking number. I can see the counterprogramming angle of releasing it this weekend but there's a very good chance it gets swallowed by all the blockbusters. I'...

Re: 2014-15 Full Year Slates (Division B)
Fixed your roster, John Erle. Thanks, Shryke! And so my favourite time of the year around here comes to a close for another 12 months. In an effort to extend it a little bit, I'll point out that I'm willing to accept trade offers on SpongeBob SquarePants since so many of you were disappointed when ...

Re: THE OFFICIAL 2014 FANTASY GAME THREAD
Of course the parent company left us orphaned, moved on to bigger and better things (yeah right, what could be better??) and we've been roughing it ever since. If by bigger and better things you mean a bunch of crappy Farmville-esque sports games then yeah haha. I played their football game with CB...

Re: 2014-15 Division B Waiver Wire
Waivers in all fantasy leagues are pretty much designed to give everyone a fair chance to make adds. If it were first-come-first-serve and big news came out, you'd probably end up missing out if you didn't react within 5 minutes. I have a fantasy baseball league like that and it's absolutely stupid....

I don't blame us, it looks really, really bad.Shrykespeare wrote:I noticed no one picked Addicted in either league. It's the only wide release with a confirmed release date that wasn't picked by anyone.

Re: THE OFFICIAL 2014 FANTASY GAME THREAD
I agree w/ that...keeping it free would be great. So it would just be some initial costs for us to get started up, correct? And hosting but it's not cheap. My brother is a web developer and I showed him the site at one point and asked him how expensive it would be to replicate and improve... to do ...
