Re: A New Site
Hi empire, I don't know at what point the development of the site is, but I would like to advance a request, asking also to Shryke and others if they would agree with it. Provided that I don't know anything about programming sites, writing codes, etc; I find that would be very fun to leave some movi...

Re: THE OFFICIAL 2014 FANTASY GAME THREAD
Just been planning my slates for the forthcoming rounds, and boy did the pricing panel price The Hunger Games wrong in the BO leagues. $35 for a movie guaranteed of hitting at least $250m in those two weekends? Thats over a $7m ratio per dollar spent. I had it at $63, but at the price it's at you w...

Re: Was It Worth It - The Films of July
Well, I just compare their results in comparison to their price tag and go from there. It's always open to interpretation of course, but that's how I do it. Ok, I asked you because I've been working on a formula that tries to give an evaluation on a movie's performance pondering the four parameters...

Re: Was It Worth It - The Films of July
Actually, the Allen's movie delivered just 8 PTA. Considering the unexceptional rating, the gross lower than its previous movies and its high price I would barely give it a B+. Anyway, I was wondering whether you (Shryke) attribute those grades at a glance or you use some kind of a formula and crite...

Re: THE OFFICIAL 2014 FANTASY GAME THREAD
I am eager to see the prices for Sep-Nov season, especially regarding Interstellar, Big Hero 6 and Hunger Games. I wonder whether their Ultimate and BoxOffice prices will be similar or completely different. For example, I proposed a slighter price for HG in Ultimate, since the other two might have m...

Wow... If I stay and Love is strange should save my ass in Ultimate, where I was almost done.... at least, I hope so.

Re: THE OFFICIAL 2014 FANTASY GAME THREAD
BOM lists Before I go to sleep for Sep, 12th, but it's neither in the game nor in the pricing list.
How is that? Was it its release date changed just recently?
EDIT: Same for Tusk, scheduled on Sep, 19th.

Re: Was It Worth It - The Films of March
Since I am one of the people involved in making prices, just let me say something: - I think I am the most responsible for Bad words being priced so high. After watching the trailer I thought it would behave similarly to other Jason Bateman's movies and I was positive about the limited release, that...

Unfortunately, Fading gigolò wasn't in the game. It would have been one of the few limited films sure of making a good amount of PTA.

Re: THE OFFICIAL 2014 FANTASY GAME THREAD
I am sorry I wasn't able to catch an IM in the ULT HY R1 and I didn't win the January ULT. Those were some of my best slates ever... As far as it concerns prices, I can notice my prices weren't so different from the final ones and that means we have got similar ideas and we did a good job overall......

I hope that the changes of which you're talking about concern my chances of getting an IM... I will never put together 8 movies like those again... I'm referring to the ULT HY R1

Had it not been for that movie come out of nowhere, TGBH would be in the top 5. Anyway, I think it still has a shot next week.
19 PTA so far. Perhaps, $7/$9 was even too low a price. It will pay off in BO leagues as well. Unfortunately, I put it just in one or two of the boxoffice leagues.

Re: Movies not in the game thread
I want to take advantage of this topic to say something I've always thought and kept to myself. The raid apart, there are a lot of movies not taken into consideration for the game purposes. I can say this because I also play the Italian leagues and there is always a longer list of movies from which ...

Re: SPEARE'S TIPS - The Films of 3/7
From The grand Budapest Hotel I expect something more than being just a PTA gold-mine... It has got one of the richest and most prestigious cast I can remember, if Moonrise kingdom, starring two unknown kids as the leading actors, managed to earn $45 million, I don't see why this shouldn't aspire to...
