A24 has had a very busy week on the acquisition front. They also nabbed the rights to Parthenope ahead of its Cannes debut and John Patton Ford's sophomore feature Huntington-which is set to star Glen Powell, Margaret Qualley and Ed Harris.

I'm standing strong in my belief in The Fall Guy. Universal has promoted the hell out of it, the stock of its leads has never been higher and the WOM should be great. If it clears $30 mil this weekend, it should get to $100+ no problem

A slasher movie from the POV of the killer is a cool idea but the extreme gore paired with the slow cinema style is going to keep me away

Ballsy indeed in round 7. But it's true if it lands a distrib that releases it in theaters, I know a lot of guys who would pay to watch Sweeney and De Armas on the big screen together on the Galapagos islands.

Vanessa Kirby is in it too. It would be a hit off of horniness alone!

Damn, that is a ballsy pick. It could end up paying off if it lands at a theatrical distributor, but that's a huge risk to take at this juncture.

Dropping Tarot for The Watchers

Mortal Kombat is a great pull, but I'm not sure if it's been filmed yet? Though I guess it won't be hard to film it this summer and get it ready for March/April. For this pick, I have no idea if it's a black and white silent movie or not, but it's probaby going to do decently over Christmas/January...
