It's scary when you realize what is going on and why it is happening. Meanwhile... Couples Retreat **.5/**** Decent throwback to 1980's Saturday Night Live teaming movies (the ones that Bill Murray and Harold Ramis used to do). Though some of the script could have been retooled (especially to give K...

I for one, would like to know how you get perfectly sized socks. Can you have socks tailored? Oh and I'm dealing with a similar situation. Customer reports a problem with MICROSECOND level update rates from my server... based on someone eyeballing it. Myself and multiple levels of people over me ha...

Re: Weekend Tracking (10/23)
When I saw the late afternoon crowds for Saw VI yesterday, it reminded me of Halloween II back in August. That opened to a disappointing $16 million and had a multiplier under 2.

Re: Rate That Movie!
Surrogates **/**** The first two-thirds start well (in fact, they are better than anything in Terminator Salvation) but it really falls apart in the third act due to some obvious cuts and unexplained instances. Maybe Disney should have pushed the film back six months and reshot the last third (maybe...

Re: Weekend Tracking (10/23)
I saw Where The Wild Things Are this afternoon. Five people were in the theatre total and two walked out before it was even over. Meanwhile the strong performers looked to be Paranormal Activity, Astro Boy and Amelia.

Re: The Top 10 Most Disturbing Films...
Happiness is disturbing but I'm still trying to figure out why the MPAA rated it NC-17. It's not like they showed anything graphic.

Re: Weekend Tracking (10/23)
I can't see This Is It winning PTA with 3,400 screens. It will probably get $40-50 million in its three-day weekend but I expect Gentlemen Broncos to outdo it in its two theatres. Also, I noticed that the expansion will be slow with it so it looks like Fox is positioning it as another Napoleon Dynam...
