FYI Shryke, I dropped The Sisters Brothers back on 9/4. Not sure who's in charge of the waiver wire, but it's not noted on the front page.
Thanks for letting me know. I will make that change ASAP.

I would like to thank The Academy; I knew, I just KNEW, that if I tried hard enough, thought deeply enough, and worked tirelessly enough, I would find the freaking bottom of the standings, eventually. :/

I remain, as always...

On the other hand, you did see Sanju coming. One never seems to know what Indian films will hold and that one did.

You've got Halloween, Bohemian Rhapsody, Aquaman and Fantastic Beasts coming up in the next 2 months, you should be fine when it's all said and done.

I'm not really buying into the new Fantastic Beasts. Even though Dumbledore is in this one, did the Harry Potter fans really care about the characters J.K. Rowling wanted us to love but gave no reason to last time?

I feel The Grinch and Ralph Breaks the Internet will destroy it.

Movies I thought would bomb this year:
The Meg
Venom
The Grinch

So - based on that I'd say The Grinch is due for about 400 million

God I hope so. I need all the help I can get to make up for the abysmal picks of Skyscraper and First Man.

I also expect both of those animated films to outgross Fantastic Beasts, but I'd still be surprised if it ended up falling short of the $150-175 mil range. Regardless, I wholeheartedly believe that Nico is going to gain a lot of ground by the time 2018 comes to a close.

The Grinch should be huge. Even with those damn minions losing their public love, illumination has a lot of goodwill from The Pets movie and Sing. I think it'll be the highest grossing film for the rest of the year. Wreck It Ralph should do great as well, but still Think Grinch will come out on top.

Being one of those Potter fans, I can't wait for the new film, it definitely feels like more of a direct prequel to the harry potter series, instead of a movie about one of the school books that the kids were studying in. Beasts should hold it's own against the others. Regarding box office though, quality and reviews will probably play a bigger factor here than the animated films.
