One For the Money? I have yet to see that trailer anywhere but here or on YouTube. Not on TV, not in theaters, nothing.

Quite the contrary here. I've seen the trailer on a few movies (good reaction both times) and I've seen several online ads as well.

Lionsgate seems to be marketing it similar to The Lincoln Lawyer (as in not much traditional marketing for regular audiences but but marketing to older audiences). Also expect a similar opening weekend ticket promotion to boost word-of-mouth.

Disney has done the Feature Presentation snipe followed by more trailers on a few of their movies (The Incredibles was one of those movies). Sometimes, the studio doesn't like the attached trailer being cut off and reattached.

In this case, AMC co-distributed The Grey with Regal. It's probably their obligation to increase the film's awareness by doing this.
