The Fantaverse Collective Top 100 of the New Millennum
Now that everyone has weighed in on their Top 100 films of the last 17 1/3 years, I have run the numbers and determined our collective Top 100 films. Each film had to have appeared on at least three people's lists, and the number of points each film earned was determined not only by how many lists they appeared on, but how high on those lists.
Let's get started, shall we??
#100. Remember the Titans (2000)
Director: Boaz Yakin
Starring: Denzel Washington, Will Patton, Wood Harris, Ryan Hurst, Donald Faison, Ethan Suplee, Hayden Panettiere, Kate Bosworth, Ryan Gosling
transformers - #93
Ron B - #78
W - #1
Total: 393 points
Thank W for this. It had just enough points to squeak ahead of The Wailing for the #100 spot.

Surprised by the love for War of the Worlds. I've always found this to be one of Spielberg's worst.
Everything on this post is strictly the opinion and only the opinion of Buscemi.

Well that is certainly a surprising start to the list. I can honestly say that I didn't expect a single one of those films to make the collective Top 100.
As for War of the Worlds, I've only seen it once, but I thought it was a pretty good alien invasion movie.

Though only one on my list, it's a pretty good start. I've seen all five of them, with only one appearance on my personal list.
#100. Remember the Titans 10/10: I wish it were higher and it's only here because of me so I can't really complain at all.
#99. Sunshine 9/10: It was on my preliminary list and it barely missed the cut mostly because I've only seen it once and it was a long while ago. I figured Danny Boyle in space would hit higher on the collective list.
#98. War of the Worlds 7/10: This is really the only thing that surprised me. I thought it was a pretty average spectacle-type film.
#97. American Psycho 7/10: On my first draft when I pulled out a few hundred titles, this was there. I could see myself watching it now and it maybe making the list.
#96. Prisoner of Azkaban 7/10: I'm not a Potterhead, but this was much more memorable than others. Most of the Potters mash together and I can't remember what scenes came from what movies, but this one has a lot of memorable ones.

Re: The Fantaverse Collective Top 100 of the New Millennum
None of these were on my list.
100. Remember the Titans - saw this again recently. It's a good story, but I don't consider it any better or worse than a half dozen other sports history movies about football teams.
99. Sunshine - I don't remember much about the story, as it's been many years since I saw it the first (and only) time. I remember being impressed by the visuals, but being underwhelmed by the ending.
98. War of the Worlds - Typical Spielberg great visuals, but I found the story very meh. The Cruise-Robbins scene was definitely the most memorable one.
97. American Psycho - have not seen it. No great desire to either.
96. Prisoner of Azkaban - I may have to rewatch this. It was a vast departure from the whimsy of the first two films. I just remember it being very drab. My least favorite installment of the series.

Haven't seen Remember The Titans.
American Psycho, Prisoner of Azkaban, and the first half of Sunshine are all quality picks, no gripes from me.
Didn't care for War of the Worlds myself.
