DRAGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Anyway, I will never understand why people thought Ex-Machina had a good script. It's so confused on what it's trying be. But alas, the voters have spoken.
At least Room got Adapted Screenplay.

Re: The Reel Society Of Film Critics Awards Ceremony 2016
It's already won an award for Best Original Screenplay, and so here is the featurette to support it's bid for Best Picture:
Ex-Machina:
A turing test, when a human tests an artificial intelligence to gauge how well they can pass for human, or "real", intelligence. But what's it called when an AI turns the concept on its head and runs its own twisted version of the Turing test on humans? Well, you might call that Ex-Machina, the hypnotic feature film debut from Alex Garland. Garland, writer of Sunshine, Never Let Me Go, and 28 Days Later, knows his way around subverting audience expectations and he turns in his greatest feat of turning sci-fi tropes in on themselves. Buoyed by three terrific performances, Ex-Machina is the story of God (Nathan, played by Oscar Isaac), who after creating the new generation of beings (the latest version being Ava, played by Oscar winner Alicia Vikander), invites a third party (Caleb, played by Domhnall Gleeson) to ensure that his creation is as infallible as He believes it to be. From there, it becomes the ever-twisting tale of Turing tests on Turing tests, intertwining before running through its warped interpretation of the Garden of Eden tale.
Nominated for 7 awards tonight, including Best Picture and Director, this is Ex-Machina.

An excellent analysis of the movie there, Banks. Hadn't thought of it in that way before but it certainly makes sense. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and there are so many tense moments leading up to a thrilling climax.
Next award for the evening is:
Best Actress in a Supporting Role
The nominees are:
Joan Allen, Room
Jennifer Jason Leigh, The Hateful Eight
Rachel McAdams, Spotlight
Charlize Theron, Mad Max: Fury Road
Alicia Vikander, Ex-Machina

Re: The Reel Society Of Film Critics Awards Ceremony 2016
I'm around, doubt I'll be adding much commentary though. Seems this wasn't my year to agree with much of the consensus around here.
And I'd have been fully on board with Jacob Tremblay winning Best Actor (he was great), but not supporting. In no way whatsoever was that a supporting role. That's not your fault, Surfer, you just work with what the voters give you, but I'd love to hear someone explain that nomination to me.

Fuck yes. VIkander was the only supporting female performance of the year that truly blew me away.

Re: The Reel Society Of Film Critics Awards Ceremony 2016
It has been an award ceremony for just two movies so far hasn't it!
Onto another break, and while unfortunately I haven't received a featurette from ROB for Inside Out, I think the trailer is enough in itself anyway.
