I'm glad about Under the Skin. I've put it on quite a few slates.

Re: SPEARE'S TIPS - The Films of 4/4
No real surprise here. The first one didn't do such solid business, and the sequel, given how lukewarm the reception for the first was, was bound to have much less impact.Shrykespeare wrote:So it's Nymphomaniac Part 2 that gets left without a chair.
I'm disappointed for The Grand Budapest Hotel, that it didn't get that Top 5 point after all.

Agreed.
BTW, Chien, just throwing it out there... can you get a new picture of Kevin for your avatar? We've been looking at that particular photo for a few years now.

Well at least it's the second avatar I've had since the creation of this forum, for quite some time I had an "In the Mood for Love" avatar. I know some, here, who never changed avatar.... *cough* Six *cough*....
But I agree it's been quite some time, so maybe I'll change it (although you can't do better than Kevin in "A Perfect World"...

Pretty much the only Avatar I pay attention to is Geezers. I hope he changes his soon (as much as I still enjoy that pic of Ms. Adams).
Re: SPEARE'S TIPS - The Films of 4/4
Think I had another one of the Number Six character at first, then switched to this. I prefer to remain iconic. My iconic nature being my appreciation of a cult TV show.

I was going to pick on you too, Six, but at least your picture isn't a closeup. If you're attached to that photo, who are we to tell you to change it? (Same goes for you, Chien.)

Having been a true fan of Quaid in my youth (well, it wasn't that long ago...), I must say I love your new avatar Shryke, although I would have chosen a photo from an iconic role of his, had I been you

Well, I have to choose a photo with dimensions around 150 x 150, which doesn't give me a lot of options.

You can always resize a picture yourself Shryke, that's what I do.
Too iconic probably, Six, because when I first met you, I couldn't recognize you. I remember waiting for you on a Dublin square, seeing you arrive and thinking "Naaaaaaaa, this can't be him, he doesn't look like Patrick McGoohan".numbersix wrote:Think I had another one of the Number Six character at first, then switched to this. You can change the dimensions. Use link off site and change the dimensions to what you want.Shrykespeare wrote:Well, I have to choose a photo with dimensions around 150 x 150, which doesn't give me a lot of options.
Tenet: Criterion Edition. Now with more Backwards Man.
