A January Blumhouse title burned me in round #5 last year, but I'm pretty confident that Wolf Man will make more money and be a better movie than Night Swim (a bold statement I know).

I'll take Summer Camp, maybe it can do book club numbers...

I really want to take Fast 11, but they havent even started filming, dont think they will keep their date. so let me take 2 weeks of The Passion 2.

Ugh, give me Mortal Kombat 2 and let's hope that the fans are excited enough about the arrival of Johnny Cage to get this one to $60-75 mil.

Going to stick with films on the calendar at this juncture of the draft after last year’s TBD whiff(s) debacle. I’ll take The Watchers (the M. Night Shyamalan adjacent horror). It’s his daughter directing but it has the same feel his movies do and the trailer makes it seem like there’s a half baked twist coming for sure lol. Hopefully it does alright.

That Summer Camp pick is ballsy, as the ad campaign only just started. I'm thinking more Miracle Club than Book Club.

I've left my next picks with Tranny. If it's my turn yell at him

I just found out that Resurrection is going to be the first of two movies. Not even the Bible is safe from being split up into multiple movies (though to be fair, Christ's resurrection is covered across several books of the Bible and probably couldn't be told in two hours like The Passion was).

I will choose Blink Twice.

Some good picks this round, I was between The Watchers and Trap with my last pick. Mortal Kombat is a great pull, but I'm not sure if it's been filmed yet? Though I guess it won't be hard to film it this summer and get it ready for March/April.

I had no idea they were even making a Passion of the Christ 2...

For this pick, I have no idea if it's a black and white silent movie or not, but it's probaby going to do decently over Christmas/January. I'll take Robery Eggers' Nosferatu and hope it does a little better than his last release.

Mel's been trying to get one made for years. Apparently, he's now got a US distributor (Samuel Goldwyn, who also has domestic distribution rights to much of the Icon library, including the original Passion) and is putting up the money to finance two sequels.

Well, I was debating between a few and they're actually all still there. Which makes me think they might all be bad :)
But I'll take Novocaine. The story behind the company making the movie intrigues me. Maybe they'll get it right.

I don't know, Infrared just sounds like another Solstice or the numerous other mid-majors that tried to make smaller versions of the movies all the majors were already making to me.

If they wanted to make a difference, they'd be making the movies the studios aren't making or going from city to city and finding out what actual people want instead of making what the chronically online and people with MBA's want.

Is there a place where we can find a bunch of TBD movies like Mortal Kombat 2? I feel like I'm gonna need some options after next round...
Anyways, I'll pick up another movie drafted originally last year, Harold and the Purple Crayon

The last few picks emptied the top of my list for this round.
I'll have a go at Juror #2. Warner will certainly date it for the fall after debuting it at Telluride, Venice or TIFF. Eastwood has been inconsistent at the BO, but on the paper this looks more commercial than his last films, and it seems this might be Clint's ultimate film, so it might be a good selling point.

In the Grey

Because January loves a good action film, usually with Statham in it

And

Blitz

Because it's an early Oscar favorite and guaranteed a theatrical release. I hope
