Greyhound had been on the shelf for a while (remember that it was supposed to be released last February). Sony probably decided they couldn't do anything with it.

Also, I noticed that Sony is now licensing first-run titles to Hulu in addition to Starz and is thinking of ending Crackle. I have to imagine they have additional plans to reduce losses.

Greyhound has seemingly been on the release schedule for about 3 years, so I guess it makes sense.

Which Sony movies are on Hulu?
It's not destroying. It's making something new.

What Boosch is describing is the Starz add-on which allows you to gain access to their titles through Hulu for an extra $5-10 per month. HBO, Showtime and Cinemax have them too.

I should have explained it further. A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood and Charlie's Angels are both hitting Hulu in June. You do not need the Starz add-on to watch these two.

There's a rumor that Unhinged will be pushed back a week to July 10th as Los Angeles County hopes to have its theatres open by Independence Day proper. The current date would cause the film not get those screens by then.

And related to that Hulu June schedule I mentioned, Shirley, which was pulled from an April debut, is listed to be premiering on June 5th there. So it looks like there will not be a virtual cinema/Alamo On Demand run on it like there was on Spaceship Earth (which hit Hulu one week after debuting that way). This is despite the fact that the virtual cinema stream of Spaceship Earth had a trailer for Shirley, along with The Painter and the Thief, which was supposed to come out on Friday but no virtual cinema theatres are listed on the site nor is there an Alamo On Demand placeholder even though it's a Neon release.

The idiots have won. HBO Max is releasing The Snyder Cut of Justice League.

Get ready for The Reyless Cut of the last three Star Wars movies and Captain Marvel Without Captain Marvel.

To no surprise, The High Note will premiere on demand on May 29th. Focus has also set Irresistible for a June 26th streaming debut.

Paramount has planned a drive-in run on a recent pick-up, Mighty Oak, for June 5th with plans for expansion when indoor theatres reopen. Not sure if something like this will bring back moviegoers, as it seems like the kind of thing that goes straight-to-DVD.

Surprised it's not going to Netflix. The Run Sweetheart Run/Sweetheart conundrum would have been interesting.

And the deluge of expanded versions of box office bombs begins. Amazon Prime has posted a 198 minute extended cut of The Expendables 3, a full sixty-eight minutes longer than the theatrical cut.

I'm thinking it might have been a cut prepared for television. A number of movies have been expanded to fill four-hour time slots or so they can be split into two parts.
