Re: THE WEEKEND OF 1/31
I have to wonder if The Rhythm Section is the worst wide opener for Paramount in terms of PTA. It won't even hit $1,000 for the weekend.
Edit: to answer my question, it's looking to be the third lowest. Marci X (2003) and Nate & Hayes (1983) were lower, that we know of. The Rhythm Section will however be the worst opener in 3,000 theatres ever if estimates hold, being the fourteen year-old record set by Hoot (a movie that I actually saw in the theatre).

Hoot was a fun book. Not a great movie. Can anyone name the Marvel superhero who was in it?

I was going to say that I didn't remember Logan Lerman playing a superhero.
