For a big tentpole release, you would think that it wouldn't look like a cheap TV pilot. Also, why does every American sci-fi movie have to feature the military now? Part of the reason why District 9 (the main reason why this was made) worked was because they didn't use that cliche.

It certainly doesn't look like anything new, but the music and the way this trailer is cut makes me interested.
