Re: The Trailers Shown Before Other Movies Thread
I'm willing to bet that Barb and Star turns out to be the worst reviewed movie of the summer. How is this any different from one of Melissa McCarthy's bombs?

Re: The Trailers Shown Before Other Movies Thread
Last time Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo collaborated on a project things turned out pretty well from a critical standpoint. Even if the reviews end up being significantly worse than Bridesmaids, I'm completely confident it won't be in the running for the worst reviewed movie of the summer.

Re: The Trailers Shown Before Other Movies Thread
By the time the film opens, it will have been nine years since Bridesmaids. This team hasn't done a film together since. In fact, has Mumulo done anything of note post-Bridesmaids? And I can't recall the last time Wiig was in a hit.
In addition, this film doesn't have the backing of a Judd Apatow. The film looks like it will be nothing more than a feature-length version of a post-Suck Line SNL sketch from the late 80's/early 90's.

No clue how it's going to fare financially at this point, was simply disputing your assertion that it was going to be the worst reviewed movie of the summer.Buscemi2 wrote:By the time the film opens, it will have been nine years since Bridesmaids.
