I hope it's great and it's a success at the BO.

Yet another underlit and action-heavy sci-fi movie where space jockeys kill anything that's not human. And the decision to focus it on AI seems to make it feel as if Disney is pandering to conspiracy theorists.

It might feel relevant with the WGA strike and how the industry's been long to trying to make the "technology is evil" genre a thing but who exactly is going to see this and get any sort of feeling outside of a forgettable sci-fi movie?

I'm just glad to see Hollywood give money to a director who is not James Cameron or Christopher Nolan to make a big epic ambitious film that is not a superhero movie or an IP.

Agreed and that's why I'm going to see it in theaters despite my significant grievances with Edwards' past movies.

It's cool that something like this still gets made once in a while, even if there's very little chance it makes its money back.
