Trailer: Countdown
STX keeping this at October 25th confirms this is a potential Hall of Fame dump release (seriously, when was the last time a wide release put a debut trailer out this close to its release date?)

Final Destination given the Happy Death Day treatment.
And to answer your question, I remember John Wick not having a trailer out until six weeks before opening.

I'd like it more if they didn't personify the demon/supernatural killer thing.
Isn't this basically that killer phone movie Pulse, but with a smartphone instead of flip phones?

Re: Trailer: Countdown
I forgot Pulse was a killer phone movie Never saw it and really the only thing I can remember about it is the poster with Kristen Bell getting mauled by a million demon hands.
edit: OH MY GOD CHRISTINA MILIAN WAS IN IT TOO. Her filmography really is a murder's row of random bombs (this, Man of The House, Love Don't Cost a Thing, Torque) from the 2000's.

Re: Trailer: Countdown
Sure did pal. She was in a handful of movies from 2003-2009 and upon scanning her filmography after looking up the cast for Pulse, I discovered that she's made a triumphant return to the medium in the new Netflix romantic comedy "Falling Inn Love".

Wow, Torque. That movie killed so many careers that didn't belong to Ice Cube.
Not sure which did more damage to everyone involved, that one or The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. And I saw both in the theatre.
