Please dear God let this be a good, trashy horror comedy

It's Ryan Murphy. Watch it be played as straight as possible and it feature a completely nonsensical ending (I bet B-level Margot Robbie is behind it all and Murphy comes up with a really dumb explanation).

There's a clear reason why Disney is dumping this one. That and it looks and sounds like a rejected American Horror Story plot.

The co-writer is a different Ryan Murphy (in fact, he's being credited as R.Christopher Murphy to avoid confusion with the TV kingpin). Him and his writing partner Guy Busick's only feature credits are on an anthology film called Minutes Past Midnight. As for B-level Margot Robbie, Samara Weaving is actually the main reason I'm hopeful about this. Her past work in B-movies has been sensational.

Wingard's doing Godzilla vs. Kong and apparently it's a dog if the rumors of Warner Bros. reworking the film are true. Also, he's disappointed me with Blair Witch.
