Not sure how successful this can be without Craig, Mara, or Fincher... and I don't THINK it's based on any of the Stieg Larsson stories (the title is different)... can someone clarify?

It's based on the 2015 novel of the same name, which was the first entry in the series to be written following Larsson's death.

It's not part of the Millenium Trilogy.
And this looks awful, Claire Foy looks to be miscast. And Lisbeth is now a vigilante? Just torturing random guys who do wrong? I don't want a Swedish Batman, thanks but no thanks.

David Fincher must be happy that he got his $5 million instead of coming back (this was the main issue with why this took so long, Sony didn't want to cover his pay-or-play contract).

looks terrible, i loved the other ones, even the remake. Not excited for this at all
